Glossary

What carburetor does a gyroplane engine use?

On the original Rotax 912 and 914 variants, two Bing constant-depression carburetors, one per cylinder bank. Rotax replaced carburetors with electronic fuel injection starting with the 912 iS, and every 915 iS and 916 iS is fuel injected, not carbureted. Which one a specific aircraft has depends entirely on the engine variant fitted.

Also called Carb

That is the whole entry for now. The longer version, with the mechanics and worked examples, is still to be written. See autorotation for how those read once they exist.
