Manufacturer

NIKI Rotor Aviation

Bulgarian manufacturer of two-seat gyroplanes, established in 2010 at Pravets. Its published range is the Kallithea, the larger Kallithea K2, the Cruiser and the Lightning, all with carbon fuselages and Rotax power.

About NIKI Rotor Aviation

NIKI Rotor Aviation was, in its own words, "established officially in 2010" at Pravets in Bulgaria - which the company describes as "a picturesque small town 60 km from the capital Sofia". Its about page traces the work further back, to a helicopter prototype in 2000 and the NIKI 2004 and NIKI 2004 M (APIS) gyroplanes that followed; those are history rather than current products and are not listed here.

Four models are published: the Kallithea, the Kallithea K2, the Cruiser and the Lightning. Common ground across the range, as printed on the model pages, is a carbon fuselage, a composite propeller, a rotor head produced in-house by Niki Ltd., a 12 volt power outlet and Rotax powerplants. Engine choice is what separates them most sharply: the Lightning lists the Rotax 912 ULS or 914 UL at 100 hp, while the K2 lists the 916 iS at 160 hp.

The Kallithea K2 is presented as the larger development of the Kallithea, with a longer fuselage and twin 40 litre tanks in place of the Kallithea's single 66 litre tank. The Cruiser shares that tankage and the 8.8 m rotor, and is described by the manufacturer around its tail construction, its luggage compartment and the view from the cockpit.

Figures below are reproduced exactly as NIKI publishes them, including decimal commas and the manufacturer's own spacing. NIKI prints several values this site has no field for - chord, fuel consumption, minimum speed, vertical speed, maximum altitude and landing roll - and those are omitted rather than filed under an approximate heading. For anything that governs how you operate the aircraft, the flight manual for your specific machine is the authority.
