What is ADS-B Out?
Equipment that broadcasts an aircraft's GPS position, altitude and speed to ground stations and other aircraft once a second. The FAA requires it for flight in specific classes of US airspace under 14 CFR 91.225. The rule and the airspace it covers can both change, so confirm current requirements for where you fly directly with the FAA.
That is the whole entry for now. The longer version, with the mechanics and worked examples, is still to be written. See autorotation for how those read once they exist.
