What "certificate checked" means, exactly
It means somebody here looked the instructor's certificate number up in the FAA Airmen Inquiry, the public airman registry, on the date shown on their page. That is all it means.
It is not a statement that they are current, insured, competent, or that nothing has changed since we looked. It says nothing about instructors outside the United States, because the registry only covers FAA certificates. Ask to see the certificate yourself, ask about insurance, and ask for references. You can run the same Airmen Inquiry search we do, in about a minute, and we would rather you did. We are a directory, not a vetting service.
