What is pilot induced oscillation?
Over-controlling in pitch or roll, where each correction arrives late and too large, so the aircraft oscillates instead of settling. It is a distinct problem from a power push over or mast bumping: a piloting-technique issue, not an aerodynamic or structural one, and it is one of the more common struggles in early gyroplane training.
