Yellow enclosed-cabin gyroplane in flight against a clear blue sky

Glossary

What battery does a gyroplane use?

Traditionally a sealed lead-acid battery of the AGM type, the same maintenance-free format used across small aircraft generally. Lightweight lithium-iron-phosphate batteries are increasingly offered as an alternative, trading a higher price for a substantial weight saving.

That is the whole entry for now. The longer version, with the mechanics and worked examples, is still to be written. See autorotation for how those read once they exist.
